Jakarta, December 14, 2021. The first cooperative-based MSME incubation institution in Indonesia, Siger Innovation Hub, launched a test feature to measure the health level of MSMEs called MSME Detector. This feature was developed in collaboration with an online learning service provider platform, Vokasiku, which focuses on training superior human resources who are ready to work and are entrepreneurial.
MSME Detector can be accessed directly via the Vokasiku application which can be downloaded on the Playstore and also via the website www.vocationku.appfor free. The MSME Detector itself is designed to help MSME actors measure the health level of their business through three stages of tests with three different measurement focuses:
1. Team readiness and products from the business being run.
The first test of the MSME Detector feature assesses several important aspects of products and business actors, starting from the readiness of products to enter the market, to the level of competence of business actors such as the ability to market products, the ability to manage teams, financial capabilities, and operational capabilities.
2. Financial health
The second test of the MSME Detector feature is specifically designed to evaluate and analyze the financial health of MSMEs. From here we can know whether the business being built is really profitable, has sufficient cash reserves, has a healthy debt ratio, etc. As we know, this financial health is the main key whether our business can continue or not. Meanwhile, there are many micro-level MSMEs out there who do not have the ability to hire financial advisory services. And don't worry, the results of the analysis in the MSME Detector feature are also conveyed in simple language so that anyone can understand.
3. Readiness to Compete and Feasibility of Investment
The third test of the MSME Detector feature is designed to find out how well the competitiveness of the business we have built in similar industrial markets is. In this feature, we will help to sort the ranking of MSMEs listed in the feature according to the category of each industry, making it easier for investors to choose the best business that can be invested in. In this way, the opportunity for business owners to meet with potential investors is even greater.
Apart from these three main features, MSME Detector will also provide recommendations for online learning classes for MSME actors to increase their capacity based on test result data. If MSME actors are still lacking in product development, the feature will automatically offer learning classes related to market research and product development. If it is felt that MSME actors still have problems in the operational section, the feature will also automatically offer related classes such as supply chain management, HR management, etc. In this way, the quality of young entrepreneurs in Indonesia will also gradually improve.
"Based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (2021) there are 65.5 million MSMEs throughout Indonesia with a workforce absorption of 119.6 million workers. This is a great potential for the development of the country and the economic stability of the Indonesian nation. MSMEs are also one of the an important pillar for the nation's economy because it has been able to contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 61.07% or worth 8,573.89 trillion rupiah. It is hoped that this MSME Detector will be able to answer the needs of MSME activists in developing their business so as to encourage MSME businesses to become more successful. strong," said Ikhwan Ferdian, CEO of Siger Innovation Hub.
