Sigerhub As The First Incubator In Lampung Province

Sigerhub is the only private incubator in Lampung province that has been officially registered with the government. As the first initiator in building an incubation institution in Lampung Province, it remains a challenge for the SigerHub Team.
November 18, 2019, is the day that the Siger Innovation Hub was founded. The only incubator in Lampung Province, of course, has a lot of interesting backgrounds and stories. As narrated by Ikhwan Ferdian Widiarto (CEO of SigerHub), "before it became what it is now, SigerHub initially only operated on campus, at the University of Lampung, precisely at the Faculty of Business Economics and the name was not yet SigerHub but FEB Creative Hub."
FEB Creative Hub, which was initiated by Ikhwan and his community friends, created a cooperative around the Faculty of Business Economics. Then, Ikhwan met with Annisa Efri MS. and Sigit Sopandi and finally built sigerhub together.
Not yet finished there, at the beginning of its pilot, SigerHub conducted an Open Recruitment Batch 1 for MSMEs in Lampung. At that time, there were about 19 SMEs that registered. After going through the selection and being curated, there were 5 tenants who were ready for incubation, namely RK Wedding Planner, Summo, Londry.id, Ojesa, and also Camil. However, in this batch, there was an unexpected obstacle, namely the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The incubation period that was previously carried out offline has turned into online. Of course, this is quite surprising both for Sigerhub as an incubator and also for Tenants who feel disturbed by the change in incubation who inevitably switch to online.
After the incubation period of the first batch of tenants was successfully passed, SigerHub began to adapt to the current pandemic conditions. Taking into account the various possibilities and anticipatory steps to the risks that may occur, Sigerhub also conducted the 2nd Open Recruitment Batch which was attended by more than 20 tenants.
The 2nd batch went very smoothly, and SigerHub started to get legality over time and started to establish its own PT Lokal Punya Karya. SigerHub has also started recruiting internals who are willing to develop themselves by working with SigerHub. In the first Open Recruitment Intern, SigerHub recruited around 12 internal people with the fields of Administration, Research and Development, CopyWriter, and Content Creator.
Of course, every achievement that was obtained today is not necessarily easy for the SigerHub Team to go through. Some groups, such as the tenants who are members of SigerHub, hope that this incubator will have more impact in the future and provide even more meaningful changes for economic progress, especially in Lampung Province.
