The Siger Innovation Hub (Sigerhub) has been named the incubator with the best national performance given from the Revolving Fund Management Institute (LPDB-KUMKM). Tuesday (14/12), at the Jakarta Concert Hall iNews Tower.

This award was given directly by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki, accompanied by the Chairman of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Co-Founder of Orbit Venture Indonesia, Ilham Habibie, and the President Director of LPDB, Supomo to coincide with the implementation of the Indonesia Fund Fest 2021.

Sigerhub is one the only incubator representing Lampung and even Sumatra in this event. Sigerhub is one of the eight incubators crowned. These incubators include PIBI IKOPIN Bandung, BIIW Brawijaya University Malang, Inbis Udayana University, Ottow Geissler University, Startup Cubic Bandung Incubator, Business Incubator Universitas Airlangga, Oorange University Padjajaran, and IBT Tanjungpura University Pontianak. Sigerhub managed to beat the eight incubators from the selection results of 63 registered incubators throughout Indonesia.

This first cooperative-based incubator in Indonesia has incubated 25 tenants out of a total of 119 tenant registrants who have partnered with LPDB. The incubation model carried out by Sigerhub through the startup cooperative scheme is an inducement to continue to be developed in other areas by LPDB-KUMKM. Having an incubator that uses this scheme will help the development of micro-enterprises and startups.

Minister Teten in his speech explained his support for the cooperative green incubator development program as a means to develop joint collaboration between cooperatives and MSMEs.

"With this program, firstly, we will provide access to financing to MSMEs who do not have assets, secondly, we want to make MSMEs aggregators to enter into economies of scale," he explained.

The Green Incubator is an incubation model by cooperatives that provides incubation services to partner ecosystems or cooperative members with a closed loop incubation or open loop incubation scheme. And this green incubator has been implemented at the Jasa United Karya Cooperative in Lampung (Sigerhub), and the close loop incubation model carried out by the Al Itifaq Cooperative in West Java.

"Hopefully, it can be an encouragement and a facility that can be used for all groups, so that friends who have ideas or already have business programs can grow," said Ikhwan Ferdian as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sigerhub.
